Barry Allen looked a little worse for wear in the latest Flash Season 2 poster, and the full premiere gallery of “The Man Who Saved Central City” may offer a sizable clue as to why. Not only do the photos see “Flash Day” interrupted by DC’s Atom-Smasher, but two returning Rogues, and one seriously surprising resurrection.
You’re warned of some light Season 2 spoilers for The Flash from here on out, but where many of the photos follow Adam “Edge” Copeland’s Atom-Smasher ambushing Barry at a Central City celebration, other shots feature Legend-ary returns from Captain Cold and Heat Wave. Perhaps most surprising of all, Tom Cavanagh is already resurfacing as Harrison Wells, though likely another Earth’s still-living version, rather than a visage put on by the Reverse-Flash.
As if that weren’t intriguing enough, a new BTS tease for Season 2 also gives a bit of insight into how The CW will portray Atom Smasher’s size-changing powers:
Thus far, we know of The Flash Season 2 that The Messengers alum Shantel VanSanten will guest as DC character and Barry’s new love interest Patty Spivot, joining Masters of Sex alum Teddy Sears as Golden Age speedster Jay Garrick, Tony Todd as the voice of big bad Zoom, Insurgent star Keiynan Lonsdale as Wally West, Adam “Edge” Copeland’s Atom Smasher, Violett Beane as Jesse Quick and Demore Barnes as Firestorm villain Tokamak. We’ll also see the returns of Gorilla Grodd, Captain Cold and Golden Glider (including their father), and likely others, while both Barry (and Jay!) have some spiffy new duds.
What other teases of The Flash Season 2 will emerge before its October 6 premiere? Check out the Season 2 teasers below for more clues toward “The Man Who Saved Central City,”!
